It's completely portable and has amazing sound quality. It's more expensive than your device (just under $200), but you could use it to record a concert and be very satisfied with the results. Joel:

It lists for $50 on their website, but I got it at Wal Mart for just over $20 with tax. The built in microphone is mono, but it has a 1/8" stereo input jack so you can hook up an external mic (or mics) if you want.
