841271_little_flowers_.jpgI am amazed at the variety of emails that I have been getting from people since beginning to blog. I often don’t pass the requests along, but I thought that today would be a good day to catch up on some of them and share this one with you. As a native of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I am a bit biased toward schools in that region anyway, and this one comes to us from Frisco, a suburb of Dallas.

Darrell Moseley writes:

I am wanting to get the involvement of McKinney ISD, to help continue to build on this project! I am on the Board, of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco, as the Project Manager! I hope what we are doing in Frisco, could be done in other surrounding Cities, and keep expanding till we have covered the world! This project is ambitious, and plans to involve all we can, and help inspire our younger generation! This is a chance for the students, parents, teachers, school board, or anybody in McKinney, Texas to contribute their own expression! To make a statement for the whole World to see, what happens when we all come together for a good cause! We will be setting a World Record, that I believe will stand for years to come, and hope you add to this!

The Flower Power Project 2008, has been collecting images from artist from all over the world! It started as one persons Dream, and has continued to grow by the support of the Artist Communities he is involved in! This simple ideal, was started in Oct. of 2007, by Darrell M. Moseley, and has its first venue is Frisco, Texas on March 15, 2008! We should be getting close to 1,500 images from Frisco ISD! Now I ask you, is McKinney going to set back, or are you going to beet that! I hope this will be fun, and will involve most of the community, kids, and parents!

We are looking for images of Flowers, and safe for the kids! Whatever talent you have, or skill, if it adds to the depth we will want it! Photography, drawing, painting, carving, if its of flowers we want it to help make the statement, and be involved with making the Record! I hope to get all those interested, to contribute online at http://groups.msn.com/FLOWERPOWERPROJECT2008
this site here was just built, and will have lots to work on as well! I highly encourage any Arts teacher, to help by assisting manager! All the help would be greatly appreciated!

You can google my name Darrell M. Moseley! This will bring up link to artsgroupD/FW and if you check Dec. 19, 2007 Flower Power online project, you will see the links to both groups! RedBubble is where I have my art, and the project started, but due to sometimes adult, have buit the site above to hopefully limit that to none! SAFE FOR ALL, was my hope and a place online for others to contribute to the project! I spend lots of time on Red Bubble helping others add work to this project, and help setting it all up! I do get very busy, and sometimes the best ways to reach me is e-mail
