I DID the math and it came to 28 strokes per hole. Prob after two you should have asked for your money back and just gone along for the nice cart ride. As a veteran teacher, I really do enjoy helping newer teachers because it is like seeing the world through a child's eyes. It reminds me of the fun and the excitement of teaching. As for golf, I played it one time and that will be the last time. I had only played putt-putt so this was the first time on a real golf course. After the 5th hole, I was over 140 (you do the math on that one!) so we stopped counting. I never hit the ball far enough to every get in the golf cart. Like the poem says - Nevermore! :) Great post! Tiger W practices for hours, even though he is probably going to go down as the greatest there ever was. Good for you for trying this out... Also like an instrument, it can take you away. I seldom think of anything else when I play, and that is a good thing. It can be an expensive diversion, and time-consuming, but with a bum ankle and a few bucks to spare now that my kids are grown, it is the perfect athletic endeavor.
