341778_executive.jpgI like my principal. In fact, I like every principal I have worked with and for. I read a news article today that concerns me and makes me glad that I have had great administrators to work for thus far in my career.

Then I got home and looked for a few more. Here’s what I came up with.

I also found this video. Crazy stuff.

Joel,
That is crazy stuff. I must admit that I did have a principal who was YouTube worthy. Luckily for him, cell phones were not an issue back then. It is sad that people who have little control over their emotions decide to work with children. It is a pleasure to work for supportive administrators. I had one principal that was wonderful to her teachers, students, and parents, and we would do anything for her. A caring, helpful principal makes a big difference in the feeling tone of a building.

@Betty

You’re telling me! I have seen good administrators and bad administrators in the districts I’ve worked in. As I said, I have been fortunate to work with very helpful and considerate principals. I’ve also seen firsthand the effects that poor leadership can have on colleagues. Maybe I’ll be a good principal when I grow up…
