She liked what she saw and decided to use some of my material in one of her classes. In fact, she used So You Want To Teach? as an assignment for one of her classes this semester. Each of the students was assigned to leave a comment on something that I posted on here. Imagine my surprise when I got an email from her last week asking for my mailing address so that her class could send me a card. The card came in the mail today and I want to thank Dr. Witt for her wonderful work and inspiration as an educator! To anyone who is in her class this semester, listen to every single word she says! I am a student at Malone University. I want to teach history. In my instructional technology class we are to read blogs. I was reading this and I thought that it was good to see other teachers having their students read blogs and comment. There are many blogs that are very helpful.
Thanks Mathew! Michelle: I wish I knew about this stuff when I was in school. I mean, I was aware of blogging as it was beginning to surface right around my 4th year of college (in 2000), but nothing like what’s going on now. I just knew some friends who documented their lives on Livejournal or GeoCities or whatever. You have a wonderful wealth of knowledge. Now the problem is wading through the mud to find the useful stuff. Any ideas how that can be addressed somehow?
