Are You Student Teaching Next Semester?

If you are going to be student teaching in the spring semester of this school year, I want you to contact me. Before the end of this month. I am beginning work on a major project that will benefit you (and other students) tremendously.

Either comment or email.

Joel Wagner (@sywtt) began teaching band in 2002. Though he had a lot of information, his classes were out of control. He found himself tired, frustrated, disrespected by students, lonely, and on the brink of quitting. He had had enough. He resigned from his school district right before spring break of his second year and made it his personal mission to learn to be a great teacher. So You Want To Teach? is the ongoing story of that quest for educational excellence.

  1. Hi Joel,

I’ll be student teaching in the spring (English, 11th-12th grade), and I would be very interested to hear what you’ve got that would relate to student teaching. Feel free to E-mail me.

  2. Ahoy,

I’ll be student teaching this Spring, too. English and Science, both grade 8. I’ve done a couple of month-long placements already, but this Spring is the real deal. I’ve been following your blog, along with several other edublogs (Mr. Teacher, Bellringers, MS Teacher, and about a dozen others) for about a year, now, but this is the first time I’ve commented. Major project to benefit student teachers? Consider me intrigued. Heh.

Oh, yeah – feel free to email me, too.

  3. I will be substitute teaching in the fall and although it doesn’t help you I am very interested in seeing what your project is. Great blog!
