Falling Behinder

147917_messy_desk_3Despite my best efforts, my computer has crashed. It’s old and the thing was running pretty slowly. I have reinstalled Windows and am in the slow process of getting things back up to speed. But — needless to say, I am not going to be able to get the weekly review of the Student Teaching thing done. Looks like that will be a sort of double thing for this weekend.

Joel Wagner (@sywtt) began teaching band in 2002. Though he had a lot of information, his classes were out of control. He found himself tired, frustrated, disrespected by students, lonely, and on the brink of quitting. He had had enough. He resigned from his school district right before spring break of his second year and made it his personal mission to learn to be a great teacher. So You Want To Teach? is the ongoing story of that quest for educational excellence.

  1. Hopefully the rest of us will have done plenty to keep you busy this weekend. I’m sure that’s just what you need.

  2. No snow day, but my 7th graders will be out tomorrow for a benchmark test, so I will have a lightened workload and may be able to catch up a bit at school. That’ll be nice…

Looking forward to seeing what I can do this weekend too, John. Thanks. :)
