Lollipops Comic

Scott Walker over at The English Teacher has been building up a little collection of comics he has drawn during staff development sessions (and a few others). I like his work, and enjoy reading his blog even when it has words and no pictures. I am featuring one of his comics a week here on So You Want To Teach? once a week (every Sunday sounds like a good plan) until I run out of them, or until he complains and asks me to stop sending people to his blog.

I highly encourage you to go spend some time exploring his blog in the mean time! Leave him some encouraging comments also!

Joel Wagner
Joel Wagner (<strong><a href="">@sywtt</a></strong>) began teaching band in 2002. Though he had a lot of information, his classes were out of control. He found himself tired, frustrated, disrespected by students, lonely, and on the brink of quitting. He had had enough. He resigned from his school district right before spring break of his second year and made it his personal mission to learn to be a great teacher. <strong><a href="">So You Want To Teach?</a></strong> is the ongoing story of that quest for educational excellence.

  1. Thanks for the endorsement! And what’s more, you actually read what I write. Everyone else just settles for my juvenile stick figures.

Perhaps I’ll try to double my blog output and create 2 posts a month. I know I’ll at least double my link list now (coincidentally, to 2 links).

  2. @Scott Walker – That’ll be awesome. I saw the end of the year one. Very nice. I don’t know if people have been commenting on your site or not, but I’ve gotten a few comments and emails thanking me for sharing your stuff. Hopefully they are impressed enough to subscribe!
