Frequently Asked Questions
What can you tell me about your blog?
Not a whole lot that isn’t covered in the about page.
How can I contact you?
Check the contact page.

What are some things I can do to share this blog with others?
I really appreciate that question! I have included a handful of social sharing options with each article. I also have a button on each one that will allow you to share the links on Twitter. You can also go the old fashion way and email links to friends or just copy the link and share it on Facebook.
Additionally, you are more than welcome to email any of the articles, blog about them, or even print them out and leave them in your faculty lounge. Do with it whatever you feel is appropriate.
Of course the best way to get the best information is to subscribe to receive updates. You can do that either by adding the RSS feed to your reader, subscribing to email updates, or even following me (@sywtt) on Twitter or the Facebook page.

I have a guest post I want to send to you
Send it to me! I usually get around to posting all guest posts I receive. If you have something to send me, please ensure that it is on topic for my blog. This would mean it is about:
- Classroom management
- Solving problems for first-year teachers
- Personal development
If I don’t feel like your article is a good fit for the site, I will get in touch with you so that we can iron out the details. More information can be found at the Guest Posting page.
I want you to write a guest post for my blog
Contact me. Tell me what topic(s) you have in mind, and we can work from there.
I love your layout! How can I get one like it?
I have gone through a few iterations of the layout. At one point I had one professionally designed for me by the people at Dizzain.com. It was great. Read more about the theme here. Recently, I resumed blogging and decided the simplest way to modernize the theme was to start over from scratch. I run the site on WordPress and it is running a highly customized version of the MH Magazing Line theme. I made the logo design using Squarespace’s Logo tool.
Where do you get your pictures?
Many of the pictures used to be taken from stock.xchng. I have since moved to searching Google for images that are labeled for reuse with modification. As far as I know, all images on my blog are either in the public domain or used with permission. If you see one that is not, please let me know and it will be promptly removed.
What plugins do you use on your blog?
I use quite a few.
But those plugins aren’t all of the customizations you have!
You’re right. I have done a handful of WordPress tweaks. One of the advantages of not having much of a social life for years. Ha. If you have WordPress questions, feel free to ask me and we’ll see what we can come up with.
I have another question that is not answered here
Contact me or leave a comment on the blog and I will answer the question. As more questions come in, I will add them to this page.
