I want to see how quickly we can build our “class size” to 200. Will you help me by inviting one friend? :)

Joel Wagner (@sywtt) began teaching band in 2002. Though he had a lot of information, his classes were out of control. He found himself tired, frustrated, disrespected by students, lonely, and on the brink of quitting. He had had enough. He resigned from his school district right before spring break of his second year and made it his personal mission to learn to be a great teacher. So You Want To Teach? is the ongoing story of that quest for educational excellence.

  1. Hang in there!

You post great content, you have a weekly article on a more mainstream education site, you have a book out, and you have made YouTube videos. I haven’t done a single one of those things!

We both have some pretty sweet headers on our sites, though. ;)

Start promoting the RSS feed. I’m amazed at how much quicker my subscriber count began to climb when I wrote But I don’t Have Time To Subscribe To Your Blog and began really pushing the subscription thing.
