The Dip Inspiration by Joel Wagner - May 27, 2007July 5, 20100 Share on Facebook Share 0 Share on TwitterTweet 0 Share on Pinterest Share 0 Share on LinkedIn Share 0 Total Shares It came in the mail on Friday. I read it on Saturday. This was my first opportunity to read a book by Seth Godin, and I sure was not disappointed. “The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When To Quit (And When To Stick)” and that’s exactly what it is. Although Mr. Godin is primarily an internet marketing guru, the book can easily be applied to anything we do in life. Anything from relationships to business to where you are teaching to even overall career choice — it’s covered here. The book is broad in scope, and can be applied to any and all of these areas. At 76 pages (and not very tall pages at that), this baby is full of powerful wisdom and advice. You can get it for as low as $7.77 on Amazon.com and it is a great deal. I picked it and The Four Hour Workweek up last week in expectation of getting some good summer reading done. I don’t usually buy new books, but don’t know that I could find these two brand new books at used prices, so I splurged. I’m glad I did. 20 Classic SYWTT Articles And SeriesLess Stress: Deepen Your Relationships With BooksThe Adaptive Unconscious: You Never Get A Second Chance To…Joel WagnerJoel Wagner (@sywtt) began teaching band in 2002. Though he had a lot of information, his classes were out of control. He found himself tired, frustrated, disrespected by students, lonely, and on the brink of quitting. He had had enough. He resigned from his school district right before spring break of his second year and made it his personal mission to learn to be a great teacher. So You Want To Teach? is the ongoing story of that quest for educational excellence.
